The Coral Identification Capacity Building Program is pleased to announce the publication of the Indo Pacific Coral Finder by Russell Kelley. The Coral Finder is a proven, practical, underwater coral identification tool that allows anyone to identify hard corals to genus, regardless of growth form, anywhere in the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
Fifteen volunteers from the Galway Dive Club, Galway Atlantaquaria and the Marine Institute took on a mammoth beach clean at Brannock Island, an uninhabited island west of Inis Mór as part of Clean Coast Week on Sunday (20th June 2010).
The European Association of Zoos and Aquariums is currently running a European Carnivore Campaign to highlight the plight of European carnivores.
