Absolutely amazed by the true understanding of seaweed, both culturally, as food production and in high tech medicines. You would need 100's of blogs to fully appreciate this beautiful, resilient algae. (I love the term sea vegetable.....but must resist). Have a read of our PDF to learn more about seaweed!

"Seaweed" is the common name for countless species of marine plants and algae that grow in the ocean as well as in rivers, lakes, and other water bodies. Some seaweeds are microscopic, such as the phytoplankton that live suspended in the water column and provide the base for most marine food chains.

The story of seaweed is almost cyclical, such an amazing resource from the sea.
Do you have any stories of seaweed that we missed? please let us know in the comments. Thanks for reading about our rock pools.
